Using The Editable Images Feature:
Editable Images
Editable image fields allows you to insert photos directly in your ePublication from your computers hard drive, a CD-Rom, or even copy and paste from a web page or other sources. You can also size your image to fit and even optimize it all from within your ePublication.
(Note) A "Page" refers to a 2 page spread...left and right side of the visible page that's open in an ePublication.
The following links could be shown as text or a button on an ePublication page and are the main links for inserting your photos.
- Edit
Clicking on the "Edit" link will reveal thin black lines outlining the area or areas where you can insert or change your images. After clicking on edit, right-click anywhere within the desired photo slot, then left click on Insert/Change Image. This will bring up a navigation window for you to locate your image. Once you have located your image just double-click on it to insert it into your ePublication. Using your mouse cursor, which will change to a hand, you may then left-click and drag your image around inside the image slot to position it. (Note) See Manipulating Images below for more options.
(Note) While you are in the "Edit" mode you will not be able to turn the pages.
- View or Preview
Clicking the "View" link hides the thin black lines that reveals the editable areas and allows you to resume page turning.
- Save
Clicking the "Save" link enables you to save the images that you have inserted. After saving your images, you may continue to insert or change the images as often as desired via the "Edit" link.

As you are doing so you can actually see the difference in the quality of your image the different percentages make as well as the file size difference. The average optimization without alot of difference in image quality is around 80% and results in a much smaller file size. You be the judge. When you are happy with your setting, click OK.

When you have your image where and how you want it, click on Trim Image to remove unwanted areas around the edges of your images. This also helps to reduce the final file size.
