Video Options and Hosting For Your ePublications
Video clips are a very popular way to share your message with a personal touch. It's very easy to include a video clip on your website, why should your ePublication be any different? It shouldn't.
Your company's cutting-edge ePublication is going to set you apart from your competitors on it's own. Including a short video clip of your company's message is going to make your ePublication stand up and be heard!
Adding video to your ePublication is easy. There are 2 options for you to consider and they are discussed below.
- Embedded
One option to include a video clip in your ePublication is to embed it directly into a page with a media player and it's typical controls. In this way, the video becomes part of the ePublication and increases the total file size accordingly.
- Streamed
The other option to include video in your ePublication is to stream it. With this option we would include links to the video file or files hosted on your server or we can host it for you. Since most video files are large, streaming allows you to have your video or videos without creating a larger file size for your ePublication.
Other scenarios where streaming the video to your ePublication would be a consideration include:
- You have a series of video files
- You want to change your video every month for special events, etc.
- You want the video to be available for a limited time only and then turned off.
The choice is yours, embedded or streamed.

Note: Videos hosted with us must be streamed to ePublications either custom made or purchased through Southpaw Kreative Inc.
